A rural lifestyle in the city

Living in a city the size of Birmingham, many people may not expect
to have the chance to take in the beauty of the countryside and
live in a rural environment only a stone's throw from where they
live, but the area of Kings Norton in the city can give them such
an opportunity.
Kings Norton is situated in Birmingham in the West Midlands. It is
a small town with a population of only around 20,000, giving people
in the local area the chance to enjoy rural living without being
totally cut off from the major dwellings in the UK.
The area has a proud history of markets being held there, which
began in 1616 when King James granted it permission to host markets
and fairs. Over time however these died away. In the current time,
a farmer's market is held in the area.
People looking for
property for sale in Kings Norton will be seeing a perfect
place to experience quiet small town style living, even if they
still want to work in the city of Birmingham itself. Kings Norton
provides a train service which travels to Birmingham, as well as
having a very regular bus service, with buses travelling into
Birmingham City Centre from Kings Norton every few minutes.
The town also offers a number of urban solutions, following the
councils urbanisation of it in the 1950s, which turned it from a
village into a more populated village.
For those who want something to do at the end of the working week,
Kings Norton also offers a golf club for somewhere to relax away
from the city of Birmingham itself.
